The village is built amphitheatrically, at an altitude of 697 meters, above the beautiful plane tree forest at the source of the Aronian River. The trunks of some of the old, enormous plane trees reach a diameter of 4 meters!

The Planitero region has become famous, in addition to its watermills and natural landscape, for its fish farms, where trout are raised that are worth tasting!
