"Echoes of the Earth"

The Devil's Pulpit, in the Finnich Glen gorge in Scotland, was my most challenging and dangerous photo shoot!

Just a half-hour drive from Glasgow, you'll find the Devil's Pulpit, a trail that descends to a waterfall and a blood-red stream flowing between the towering walls of a moss-covered gorge. Intrigued? This trail, also known as Finnich Glen, is utterly captivating, beautiful, and, of course, a little spooky.

This narrow and dramatic gorge features towering walls, reaching up to 20 meters high in places, at the bottom of which flows a river. The combination of moss-covered walls, red sandstone, and dark water makes it an incredibly photogenic spot. Fallen tree trunks add to the scene's appeal.

The water simply looks like blood, due to the color of the sandstone in the gorge and the orange sediments of the surrounding soil.

The only downside to this place is that it's difficult to access. It's a short walk, but it involves climbing over a fence and descending a series of abandoned, very steep, and slippery steps. It's a bit challenging and sometimes requires using your hands, which is why I only recommend it to people who are confident and capable of tackling this type of terrain.
