“A Moment of Stillness”

When I took this photograph in Filandia, Colombia, with a telephoto lens, I was overcome by a feeling of connection with nature.

The way the two birds perched on opposite branches, reflecting each other in their solitude, evokes a sense of balance, like a peaceful pause in time. I felt both distant and intimately close, as the telephoto lens transported me into their delicate world while keeping me a respectful observer.

The dreamlike, painterly backdrop of the lush green foliage, contrasting with the intricate, twisting branches, deepened my appreciation for nature’s complex design. There was probably a sense of satisfaction in capturing this fleeting moment: two creatures sharing a space while each living in their own silent contemplation.
